Paulo attends college entrance exam prep classes and studies in his free time. He takes notes during classes, but whenever possible, he prefers to study using notes he considers "beautiful" and "visual", which he can get from friends or find on the internet by searching study profiles.
The problem is that Paulo doesn't always find notes that exactly match his classes or study topics. In these cases, he needs to study with his own notes and feels that he doesn't absorb the content in the same way.
Who hasn't heard the famous phrase: "Do you understand, or do you want me to draw it for you?" Despite the usual irony contained in it, people actually understand more when they are visually stimulated!

When we start using visual notes, we begin the process of restructuring the information in our own language.
In other words, besides being able to "translate" what was explained or presented to us better during the note-taking process, when we use visual note-taking techniques, we can also better retain information when studying.
